Amazon Filters has been working with Anglian Water on its drought resilience project by supplying a temporary filtration unit and responding to demand for filter cartridges with its Supa Spun II products.
Anglian Water’s new £28 million Grafham resilience scheme allows the transfer of treated drinking water between the Rutland, Grafham, and Pitsford Water Treatment Works. Engineers have now completed the trial to reverse the flow of water between Grafham WTW and Hannington, near Wellingborough through a single pipeline.
Amazon Filters’ marketing manager, David Ridealgh explained its role in the project: “Anglian Water required an increase in filtration capacity to remove any silt in the pipeline and ensure their customers continue to receive the same high-quality water. We have recently invested in our manufacturing capabilities and were able to turnaround the demand for cartridges on time and to order.”
Paul Valleley, director of Water Services at Anglian Water, said: “Amazon Filters have been extremely supportive throughout this trial in terms of their flexibility to manufacture and supply high volumes of filters at very short notice and also collaborating with us to determine the appropriately sized micron filters.”
