Amazon Filters has become one of the first manufacturers to be granted ‘Fit for’ status under a new standards programme for the hydrogen production and carbon capture industries.
We passed a series of assessments, audits and questionnaires under the schemes Fit for Hydrogen (F4H2) and Fit for Carbon Capture, Usage and Storage (F4CCUS).
Achieving ‘granted’ status for both standards strengthens our proposition for customers working on regional, national and global engineering projects focused on decarbonisation.
We already have a multi-year, multi-million-euro contract to build and supply critical components for green hydrogen production.
Keith Wickert, Technical Manager, said: “Being granted F4H2 and F4CCUS status is a further, massive vote of confidence in our expert and trusted approach to business and our ability to deliver for customers in these growing but still relatively new industries.
“Hydrogen and carbon capture both have great potential to help decarbonise industrial processes but, quite rightly, they are both demanding, highly regulated market sectors.
“Suppliers need to demonstrate they have the highest standards of skills, products and systems in place for quality management, health and safety and environment protection.
“That’s exactly what we show through achieving status recognition. This latest success will help us significantly as we pursue new business opportunities.”
After a pilot programme in the Humber region in 2023, F4H2 and F4CCUS have become approved as extensions of a long-standing ‘Fit for’ model of supplier development led by the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC).
We had already achieved AMRC’s Fit for Nuclear accreditation in 2016, further strengthening our credentials as a manufacturer for the energy industry.
