Amazon Filters joined fellow manufacturers for an on-site company tour organised by the Surrey Manufacturing and Engineering Network.
The event, at Woking-based Vision Engineering, was the second meeting of the network after we hosted its inaugural gathering in April 2024.
A joint initiative between Surrey Heath Borough Council’s Economic Development team and Surrey Chambers of Commerce, the network aims to foster collaboration and growth within the manufacturing and engineering sector in Surrey Heath and beyond.
Vision Engineering, a designer, manufacturer and exporter of ergonomic microscopes and measuring systems, hosted the latest visit days after launching four new products including OPTA, a high-quality optical stereo microscope.
Neil Pizzey, Amazon Filters’ Managing Director, who attended the tour, said: “We had a really interesting tour.
“They are an impressive company with a great site and advanced technology and it was informative to hear about their products and applications.”
“When we hosted the first network meeting at our Camberley production centre in April, it was a prime opportunity to share details of our ongoing investment in ‘quick and able’ manufacturing capability with company representatives from a range of sectors.
“The tour at Vision Engineering was another change to engage with manufacturers and engineering firms and has certainly kept the network’s momentum up.”
The network’s stated mission is to “facilitate shared learning, create supply chain opportunities, and offer business support to elevate innovation and stimulate growth in Surrey. By bringing together local businesses, we aim to establish a vibrant network where industry experts can exchange knowledge to collectively address and resolve challenges via sector-specific events and workshops.”
