Team members complete Twilight Runway Challenge for charity

We’re proud to have taken part in the annual Twilight Runway Challenge, having fun, staying fit and raising money for charity in the process.

This is the second year in a row that we have sponsored the family-friendly event at Blackbushe Airport organised by our charity partner CMPP, the Community Matters Partnership.

Once again, colleagues did their bit by joining fellow Challengers from companies, schools and other organisations across Surrey to complete circuits around the runway and reach 10km by running, cycling or walking.

The challenge is open to all ages and abilities and is the flagship fundraising event of the year for CMPP.

Those taking party do so in aid of charities, schools and good causes they choose themselves.

Among those representing us were team members Jacqui Morris and Yvonne Hinton, both Senior Despatch Administrators, Aaron Godinho, Technical Sales Engineer, Dan Scesney, Finance Director, and Ruth Pappadakis, Head of People and Culture.

“Well done to all involved,” said Ruth, who personally raised £100 for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care which operates essential care services in west Surrey and north-east Hampshire. “It’s just a brilliant way to give something back and say thank-you to the community where we live and work.”

Dan, who completed the challenge with his son, said both enjoyed the “camaraderie and positive energy” of the event. “The sense of accomplishment we felt crossing the finish line together was super,” he added.

As well as the Twilight Challenge, we support CMPP’s work through staff volunteering days on a range of community projects.
